A new Redmi smartphone, possibly named Redmi A3x, is rumored to be launching in India soon. Although the company has not officially confirmed the name or release date, internal sources suggest that the phone will be introduced in various markets globally. It is expected to be a modified version of the Redmi A3, which made its debut in India in February this year. The speculated Redmi A3x is likely to share many features with the Redmi A3.
According to a report from Gizmochina, a new Redmi device bearing model numbers “24048RN6CG” and “24048RN6CI” is set to be unveiled shortly. The model number “2404” hints at a possible launch in April 2024, with the letters “G” and “I” indicating global and Indian variants, respectively. The report suggests that this phone will be named Redmi A3x and could come with some modifications compared to the original Redmi A3.
Another report by MySmartPrice mentions that a Redmi smartphone labeled with the model number “24048RN6CI” was spotted on the Bureau of Indian Standard (BIS) certification site, hinting at an imminent launch in India. Additionally, a variant with the model number “24048RN6CG” was listed on certification websites in Singapore and Russia.
The Redmi A3, which was launched in India, features an octa-core MediaTek Helio G36 SoC, a 6.71-inch 90Hz HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, an AI-powered dual 8-megapixel camera setup, and a 5-megapixel front camera. It’s equipped with a 5,000mAh battery.
Available in Midnight Black, Lake Blue, and Olive Green color choices, the Redmi A3 starts at Rs. 7,299 for the 3GB + 64GB variant, while the 4GB + 128GB and 6GB + 128GB models are priced at Rs. 8,299 and Rs. 9,299, respectively.
