The UK-based startup recently announced the release of Nothing OS 2.5.5 for the Nothing Phone 2a. The new update brings various camera enhancements, general improvements, bug fixes, and Google’s April security patches.
According to the changelog, Nothing OS 2.5.5 improves camera color saturation, speeds up camera loading times, and optimizes blur accuracy in Portrait Mode. It also enhances the Google Assistant wake-up experience and pop-up view animations. The update claims to boost overall smoothness and gaming performance on the device.
Additionally, the latest software rollout addresses compatibility issues with third-party launchers, stability problems with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections, and fixes the Night Light feature on the lock screen. The update also includes system stability improvements.
If you haven’t received the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update on your Nothing Phone 2a yet, you can manually check for it by going to Settings > System > System Update.
The Nothing Phone 2a was launched in India in early March with a starting price of Rs. 23,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC and features a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate AMOLED display.
