The Indian market may soon see the introduction of the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro. These smartphones are anticipated to be released in the country as the next models following the Vivo V30 and the Vivo V30 Pro, which were presented in India in March. The standard model has already been revealed in certain countries worldwide. According to a new report, it is probable that both the regular and Pro versions of the Vivo V40 series will be launched in India in the near future. The rumored Indian editions are also expected to feature Zeiss-supported cameras.

The Vivo V40 and Vivo V40 Pro are expected to debut in India in August this year, as per a report from MySmartPrice based on information from undisclosed industry insiders. It is mentioned in the report that both devices will come equipped with Zeiss Optics cameras. Additionally, the phones are said to feature support for multifocal portraits, as stated in the publication.
Vivo V40 Specifications
The Vivo V40 was recently introduced worldwide, featuring a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,800 x 1,260 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits. It runs on a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with an Adreno 720 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage. The device comes with FuntouchOS 14 based on Android 14.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Vivo V40 sports a dual rear camera setup with Zeiss optics, including a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS and another 50-megapixel camera with an ultra-wide lens. There is also an Aura light unit accompanying the rear camera system, along with a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies.
The phone is equipped with a 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W wired FlashCharge. It offers features like dual-SIM support, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, and USB Type-C.
