The upcoming smartphone from Carl Pei-led UK brand Nothing, the Phone 2a Plus, is set to be launched in India on July 31. A teaser image released by Nothing just a day before the official debut provides a full view of the back of the phone, revealing a dual-tone finish and a dual rear camera system. Nothing has also confirmed that the Phone 2a Plus will feature two 50-megapixel rear cameras and a 50-megapixel front camera. Alleged images of the phone and its retail box have also surfaced online earlier this week.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus design revealed
Tuesday did not reveal the design of the upcoming Nothing Phone 2a Plus on X. The device is expected to feature a dual-tone silver and grey design with two rear cameras arranged horizontally. The design seems to be reminiscent of the Nothing Phone 2a launched earlier this year. The new phone is likely to maintain the Glyph Interface with LED lights and a textured outline.
Moreover, alleged images of the Nothing Phone 2a Plus and its retail box have been shared by SmartPrix. The retail packaging has a boxy design similar to the Nothing Phone 2a, with the only difference being the addition of the “Plus” text.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus: What we know so far
According to previous reports, the Phone 2a Plus by Nothing was not confirmed to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro chipset. The device is rumored to sport dual 50-megapixel rear cameras along with a 50-megapixel front camera. It will come equipped with 12GB of RAM and the internal storage capacity can be virtually expanded up to 20GB using RAM Booster technology. Additionally, it will come with a Mali-G610 MC4 GPU.
The Nothing Phone 2a Plus is expected to be available in black and grey color variants. It is likely to sport a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The device is anticipated to house a 5,000mAh battery with support for 50W wired fast charging.
